Ryan
Dyson was born in Lumberton, North Carolina in 1950. He has
been married for over 30 years and has three children.
He
obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1972 and a Juris Doctorate
degree from Southern Methodist University in 1975. He is licensed
to practice law in the states of North Carolina (1975) and
Texas (1979) and is a Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Specialist.
The
professional career of Ryan Dyson includes over 30 years of
experience in commercial law, estate planning and probate
matters, the formulation of employee benefit plans, ERISA
litigation, drafting private placement documents under Regulation
D of the securities laws, estate and gift taxation, income
taxation of individuals, income taxation of corporations,
partnerships and trusts, and the representation of both creditors
and debtors in all types of bankruptcy matters, including
(i) drafting plans of reorganization and disclosure statements,
(ii) representation in adversary proceedings and contested
hearings, (iii) serving as a court-appointed examiner, (iv)
giving expert witness testimony, and (v) prosecution and defense
of lender liability and lien avoidance matters. He worked
for three years in the tax departments of "Big 8" accounting
firms, has taught college level courses in tax accounting,
and has been a partner/shareholder in large law firms.
